Warranties

THANK YOU for purchasing your quality recycled parts from Scotty’s. We inspect our parts for quality, but there are things you should do to ensure a long life from your part and validate warranty:

Proper installation at a certified repair shop
Check and replacement of faulty related components (Belts, Hoses, Radiator).
Replacement of seals and belts as needed (including new timing belt).
Regular service and maintenance on drive train parts (Oil and filter, etc).
Please inspect all parts upon receipt and feel free to call us with any questions or if the part is not as described – 800-346-4540.

ALL PARTS – EXCEPT SHEET METAL

All of our parts, unless noted “as is”, come with a standard 90 day replacement warranty against defect.

The standard warranty covers part only, no labor, valid to original purchaser only.

The standard warranty consists of replacement of the defective part or, as our option, if no replacement is available, refund of purchase price. The warranty is valid in OEM applications and does not cover damage caused by improper or faulty installation, abuse, neglect, or damage from failure of other components, or collision.

Defective is defined as the part nonworking, or not working properly due to part – not due to a related component. For engines, defective means excessive oil usage, knocking, or smoking. For automatic transmissions, slipping; for manual transmissions, grinding or bearing noise.

ALL warranty claims must be approved first by Scotty’s. All warranties cover part only, and do not cover loss of time, use or any other losses that might occur due to failure of part.

EXTENDED WARRANTIES

Also available for purchase from Scotty’s, for your protection, are extended warranties and a labor warranty. These are as follows:

SILVER 6 Mo./6,000 miles parts only.
GOLD 12 Mo./12,000 miles parts only.
PLATINUM 24 Mo./24,000 miles parts only.
PLUS(+) Labor warranty, can be added to any Silver, Gold, or Platinum Warranty. Covers labor on repairs at a maximum of $50.00 per hour, based on labor times from standard flat rate or factory time manuals, up to the purchase price of that part.
*All extended warranties must be purchased at time of sale and must be accompanied by the vehicle VIN number and mileage, both noted on receipt.

SHEET METAL

All sheet metal is warrantied against rust, through for the life of the vehicle, to the original purchaser only. All sheet metal warranty claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase and proof of installation and refinishing by a certified shop. This warranty is for replacement of a part only, no labor or material.
